Mission Glass stocks and sources a wide range of glass types for custom cutting: annealed (standard clear glass — the most common), tempered (safety glass — ordered pre-cut to your dimensions), laminated (safety glass with plastic interlayer), tinted glass in bronze, gray, green, and blue, frosted and satin finish glass, low-iron/starphire (ultra-clear, no green edge tint), patterned glass (rain, reed, hammered, and more), and mirror in various types.
Use a steel tape measure (not fabric) and measure in inches. For tabletops, measure the table surface — not old glass — and decide on overhang (typically 1/2" to 1" past the edge). For shelves and cabinet inserts, measure the opening width at three points and use the smallest measurement, then subtract 1/8" for clearance. Measure twice. Bring your measurements to our shop at 7607 Grissom Rd and we'll confirm before cutting. If you're unsure, bring the item itself — we'll measure it right. Tempered glass cannot be cut after it has been tempered — it must be cut to size first, then tempered. We order tempered glass pre-cut to your exact dimensions from our suppliers.
Standard clear glass cuts are often completed same-day or next-day at our Grissom Rd shop. Tempered, laminated, or specialty glass requires ordering and typically takes 3-5 business days.
